Dear GHTC Family:  You have supported me as seminarian, as deacon and throughout my ordination process to the priesthood. Now, my priestly call is taking on new forms. You can read all the details in my letter , and I welcome the opportunity to talk with you personally about these new beginnings which are unfolding in my life of ministry. I am grateful for all the prayers, support and encouragement that have surrounded me during the past three years of learning and serving with you here at Grace and Holy Trinity. My love and prayers are with you, always.

As we prepare for the Christian Ed year to start we are in need of Legos for our kids to use in educational play. Hard to believe that one year ago—on Tuesday, August 14—CirclesRVA kicked off in our Parish Hall. The focus of CirclesRVA is to end poverty through building circles of connection. Grace and Holy Trinity Church has been an integral part of CirclesRVA by providing resources and volunteers. Want to know more? Aug. 17 | Service of Lament, Reconciliation and Commitment
On Saturday, Aug. 17, service of Lament, Reconciliation and Commitment will occur at 5:00 p.m. at St. John’s Church (2401 E. Broad St.). The service will be preceded by approximately 20 minutes of music by a joint regional choir. To participate in the choir, contact Jim Bennett at 804.901.1238. Choir Begins Sept. 8: Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord
Like to sing? If you are interested in joining a choir, now is the time to contact Beth Davis as planning begins for the fall. We love to hear all voices! Choir is a great way to get involved and meet new people at Grace & Holy Trinity. Our Adult Choir practices weekly on Thursday evenings beginning Sept.5; the Amazing Grace Choir and the Youth Choir begin rehearsals on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Feed My Rams: Open house Aug. 14 & lunches begin Aug. 21
The first day of classes at VCU is Tuesday, Aug. 20 and student welcomes begin the week before, so be aware of our neighbors next door to the church! Click on this link for a complete calendar of VCU's academic activities.Every Wednesday, we feed college students during our SeRVAnt lunch at noon. This year, the menu planning is done; all you need to do is supply vegan/vegetarian entrees, sides, dessert and drinks for 5-10 students . For more information contact The Rev. Kim Reinholz . Food can be dropped off on Sunday or delivered on Wednesday; you can also donate the cost of food and we will purchase items for you. We like to feed people so thank you for your support of Episcopal Campus Ministry at VCU.
