Toddler Time at The X Center

On Wednesdays, now through May 10th, join us at The X Center for Toddler Time beginning at 10:30 am! The program will feature activities like animal encounters (2nd Wednesday of each month), arts and crafts, book readings, sensory bins, dance parties, and open gym. The fee is $3 per person and kids 1 and under are free. 

Baseball / Softball / T-Ball Session 1

This is an instructional league that has been designed to continue a child’s all around development from t-ball to baseball or softball. Each division is a progressional step up from the previous division.

Season Dates: The six game season begins the week of May 8th. Practices begin the week of April 24th.

Open To: The program is open to boys and girls ages 3 years old to currently in 6th grade (Must be 3 years old by May 8th).

Location: Rotary Park and Nixa Schools. 

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Registration: Ends on April 5th. Late registration from April 6th - 9th, with a $10 additional late fee. Or until maximum capacity of 900 participants.

Game Days:

3&4 year old T-Ball: Thursday evenings.

5 year old/Kindergarten T-Ball and/or Coach Pitch: Saturday mornings.

1st/2nd grade (boys): Monday evenings.

1st/2nd grade (girls): Tuesday evenings.

3rd/4th grade (boys and girls): Tuesday evenings.

5th/6th grade (boys): Monday evenings.

5th/6th grade (girls): Thursday evenings.

*Game nights are subject to change.

Easter Egg Hunt: Sponsored by Mac Dental

The Easter Bunny is coming to town! On Saturday, April 8th join us and our event sponsor, Mac Dental, for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around for pictures too! The event begins at 9:30 am, with activities running until 11:30 am.

Make sure you arrive early for your age division’s hunt time! The Easter Egg Hunt is free and open to all. Hunt times: 6 months - 2 years at 10:00 am, 3 - 5 years at 10:20 am, 6 - 8 years at 10:40 am, 9 - 12 years at 11:00 am.

Tennis Lessons

Former collegiate coach, Ray Still, will instruct each participant and help build proper form and technique of each participant. Lessons will be held April, May, June, July, August, and September on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Open to ages 6 years old and older. Registration is $50 per four week session.

April's lesson registration ends March 31st and lessons will be held April 4th - 27th.

Summer It Up: Summer Day Camp

Join Nixa Parks and Recreation for Summer It Up! The schedule is packed with field trips, activities, games, crafts, contests, guest speakers, and much, much more! The day camp is offered Monday through Friday (with the exception of Memorial Day and the 4th of July), from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. The program is open to children ages 5 (must have completed Kindergarten) to 12 years old; Kindergarten - 6th grade. 

Summer camp will begin May 26th and end the day Nixa Public Schools start school for the 2023-2024 school year. Registration will begin February 27th. The fees for the program are as follows: $25 (per family) registration fee, Members (per week) $96.50, Non-Members (per week) $110.

Adult Co-Ed Volleyball

Registration for Adult Co-Ed Volleyball ends April 5th. Late registration will e held April 6th - 9th with a $10 late fee. The team fee is $185 per team. Games will be played on Mondays, April 24th - May 22nd and Tuesday, May 30th.

Aquatics Passes

Let's get ready for some summer fun! Get your pool passes by May 14th for the pre-season rate. Purchase your pool pass at The X Center. After May 14th, rates will increase to the regular season rate. The aquatics center opens Saturday, May 27th at noon.

Swim Lessons

Register now for swim lessons! Registration ends the Thursday prior to the session start date (or until maximum capacity). The registration fees per session are $42 for Members, $47 for Nixa Residents, and $55 for Non-Residents. There are numerous different levels: Tadpoles (ages 3 and up; parent assisted), Intro to Swim (ages 4 and up), Levels 1 - 5 (ages 5 and up).

Session 1: June 5th - June 15th

Session 2: June 19th - June 29th

Session 3: July 3rd - July 13th

Session 4: July 17th - July 27th

Swim Team

Come join the Nixa Vipers Swim Team. Each participant will learn the proper strokes in order to propel themselves through the water. Practices are held Monday through Thursday: 7:45 am - 9:15 am. Optional swim meets will be held on weekday mornings. All participants must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted. The program begins May 30th and ends July 29th. The fees for the program are as follows: Members $60, Nixa Residents $65, Non-Residents $70.

Jr. Lifeguard

Ever wonder what it would be like to be a Lifeguard? Check out Jr. Lifeguards! Registration ends Thursday, July 13th--space is limited to 30 kids! The program is open to ages 10 to 15 years old. The fees for the program are as follows: Members $32, Nixa Residents $37, Non-Residents $42. Classes will be held Monday - Thursday from 11 am - 12 pm July 17th through 27th.
