STRAIGHT OUTTA DISTRICT 4 FUNDRAISER

One of the objectives of the Diamond Street Festival is to build and increase community pride. We know that a lot of amazing people and organizations have come out of Southeastern San Dieg o's District 4. We wish to celebrate all the positive people that have come out of our community as a FUNDraiser to help cover the cost of bringing The Delfonics, an R&B/S oul vocal group that were most popular in the late-1960s and early-1970s, to perform at the festival.

The FUNDraiser consists of your name or organization appearing on a "STRAIGHT OUTTA DISTRICT 4" T-Shirt. The front of the shirt will say "STRAIGHT OUTTA DISTRICT 4" and all names will be listed on the back of the shirt. Shirts will be white with black ink.

VILLA ENCANTADA APARTMENTS

The  Metropolitan Transit System broke ground on 67 affordable apartments adjacent to the Encanto/62nd Street Trolley Station.  The Villa Encantada Apartments will include two and three-bedroom units affordable to families earning between 30% and 60% of the local median income. The apartments will be about 20 minutes from downtown via the Orange Line.

The $30 million development replaces a parking lot, but trolley riders will have access to a new parking structure. There will also be 1,000 square feet of retail space.  The apartments are being developed by  AMCAL Multi-Family Housing , which has leased the property from the MTS for 55 years.
