Strategic Planning 2023-2028
A strategic plan formalizes our school district's mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives. This plan enables all stakeholders to voice and align on priorities and focus on the same path to improvement. These plans are updated every five years to continue growing as a district and evolving with the ever-changing needs of our staff and students. Our previous strategic plan will serve us throughout the 2023 school year. As such, we have started the strategic planning process alongside our consulting firm, EGL.
As you can see in the timeline below, we are currently in Phase II of the strategic planning process, which includes gathering stakeholder input. EGL will play a critical role in this phase by conducting interviews this week with our Board of Education, administrators, staff, students, and community members. Interviewers will collect data from these discussions to identify key phrases and themes, which will ultimately become the foundations for our next strategic plan.

We look forward to working with our stakeholders to develop a collaborative, future-focused, and practical strategic plan that will serve our district for the years to come. We will continue to update you as we work our way through the strategic planning process.
Free and Reduced Lunch Application
Free and Reduced Lunch Application
As you are all aware, school meal programs across the country returned to normal procedures for the 2022-2023 school year. This change meant that school lunches were no longer free to all students and are now based on income eligibility.
As a reminder, you may fill out the free and reduced meals application at any time. If and when a life event has changed your circumstances (i.e., divorce, loss of income, etc.), you may reapply, regardless if you have applied previously and been denied.
To apply for free and reduced lunches, visit our Food Services page on our district website.

Willard Middle School Student Donates $900 to Pay Off School Lunch Balances
Sawyer Crayton, a Willard Middle School 8th Grader, is a student at Dunham's Martial Arts and is a 4th-level Black Belt. While learning about gratitude, charity, and community engagement, Sawyer competed in Pledges for Push-Ups—asking for donations per push-up completed.
Sawyer completed 111 push-ups in three minutes and collected nearly nine hundred dollars! He graciously donated the money to help pay off overdue lunch balances at the middle school.
Thank you, Sawyer, for your donation and for embodying the One Team One Willard mission! We are so thankful for your generosity.
