Dear School Community,
It is so wonderful to have everyone back in the building and to hear the beautiful sounds of our students learning. A big shout out to teachers, administrators and parents who made At Home Learning run smoothly.
I am disappointed to announce that we are cancelling school on Purim, Friday, February 26. We were originally scheduled to have a 12 noon dismissal and school will now be CLOSED. Social distancing requirements will make it impossible to create a proper environment for students and teachers to hear the megillah and participate in the many fun Purim activities and traditions we have each year. While we won’t be able to celebrate Purim together at school, we are still planning to infuse the school days leading up to Purim with ruach (spirit) and excitement for the chag.
In addition, several parents have already inquired as to what the plan is for after Pesach. At this time, it is too early to make the determination if we will be able to immediately return to school after Pesach break or if we will have to pivot to At Home Learning. A major component of our decision will be based on the level of positivity rates in the weeks leading up to Pesach. As soon we make a determination we will inform you.
Keep in mind, attendance at large indoor gatherings, regardless of the state's status on the ODH Travel Advisory will require quarantining prior to attending school. Each situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
