Transition Expiration Coming: AOBRD to ELD 
The "grandfather clause" allowing operators to use automatic on-board recording devices (AOBRDs) in lieu of electronic recording devices (ELDs) is rapidly approaching expiration. Per Section 395.15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)'s final rule on ELDs, operators may continue to use grandfathered AOBRDs no later than December 16, 2019.   Read more...

PA Budget: Lawmakers Send Budget to Governor
A nearly $34-billion state budget package was sent to Governor Tom Wolf's desk.  After a last minute blow-up over the bill that directs school funding last night, the state House returned to Harrisburg today for a quick and amicable session. To reconcile and allow the school code funding bill to run clean, the career and technical education programs language sought by the House Democrats was amended into a different school code bill that is expected to be considered by the Senate this Fall.  Read more...

Governor Wolf Vetos House Bill 915
House Bill 915, which provided exemptions for milk haulers from travel restrictions on highways during a declaration of a disaster emergency was recently vetoed by Governor Wolf.
