No Time to Waste

Flowers are blooming and summer is just around the corner, which means the hospitality industry is about to get busier! Unfortunately, this also means more single use items are likely to end up in the trash, especially since current organic composting guidelines now exclude compostable utensils. To help with these rule changes, PACE is ready to provide extra support to our local businesses this year!

Our PACE advisors are offering FREE waste audits, which can help you reduce waste and save money. An advisor will meet with you on-location to complete the audit, and create a customized plan including effective, reusable, and durable solutions. This plan addresses costs, infrastructure, and logistical concerns as well as highlighting financial resources. This is a limited time opportunity and audits are conducted on a first come, first served basis -- get started today by emailing info@pacepartners.com.

Outdoor Cleaning to Protect Our Waterways

Keeping outdoor areas free of trash and debris helps protect our waterways. When stormwater flows across parking lots and streets, it picks up pollutants and sends them into storm drains.

  • Sweep and pick up all outdoor areas (dumpster, break area, patios, parking lot).
  • Keep lids closed on dumpsters and recycling containers. Contain liquids before placing in the trash.
  • If using soap and water, collect all water that contains soap and dispose of it inside.

Learn more about how your business can protect waterways on the Keep it Clean Partnership website.
