Happy Easter from Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas
Hippity-Hoppity lunch is on its way! Mel's donates $1 to Basset Buddies for every dessert sold on Saturday the 16th. Mel's Country Cafe is located at 24184 Stanolind Rd. in Tomball. We hope to see you there from 11-2!
It's time! All of our volunteers, adopters, sponsors, and furry friends are invited to Fulshear for our Family Play Day. We can't wait to be reunited with all of our Basset Buddies. We ask that all of our four-legged attendees be spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations. Come out and enjoy some off-leash Basset fun!

Paisley

Paisley is a sweet 9-year-old girl. She is an XL sized Basset. She gets along with other dogs and is friendly to everyone she meets. She does well with children. Her favorite hobbies are napping on your feet, napping in her bed, or napping in the sun. She walks well on a leash and will play with toys for a short period of time. She is more on the vocal side so she needs to be in a home, not an apartment. She has not had any accidents in the house. She likes her dinner promptly at 5 pm and will let you know if it's late. She wants to be with people all of the time so she would do well with a family where someone is home most of the time.

Until we meet again at the rainbow bridge

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of BBRTX alumnus, Sarge, formally known as Fergus. Sarge had epilepsy and, despite excellent medical care, suffered a massive seizure and went to the Bridge on Friday night. Sadly, he was only 3.

When Sarge first came to us, we knew he would need a very special family to handle his challenges. A few months later, we found them. Ben and Jenna Lawrence fell in love with this precious hound and adopted him on August 24, 2020. Sarge was a happily spoiled boy who loved sun naps in the grass and belly rubs from his people. His heartbroken family says they are going to miss him so very much.

We send heartfelt condolences and thanks to the Lawrence family for loving Sarge, making him family, and providing him with a wonderful life. He was a very happy boy!
