Winter Basketball Leagues

Teams are grouped by grade level and school. This league is fun and recreational. Anyone can sign up, just choose the school you attend (or live closest to) during registration.

(Ages 3+) Explore Tacomas Parks during these naturalist-led walks. Discover the amazing plants and animals that live in these parks and how they adapt in the different seasons.

  • Participants must be able to travel on unpaved, uneven trails for up to a mile.

Wednesdays are WILD at the Tacoma Nature Center!


With 100+ cars and tons of programs, it’s our busiest day and parking gets tight with just 35 spots. To help ease the crunch, we’ve been testing a Wednesday morning closure and it’s working!


Starting in November:


  • We will be closed Wednesday mornings year-round
  • We’re adding extended hours on Wednesday afternoons to better serve you!


Beginning Nov. 1st, our year-round hours will be:

  • Thursday through Tuesday | 10:00-2:00
  • Wednesdays | 1:30pm-4:30pm

You asked, we listened! Drop-in dodgeball is now available at the Center at Norpoint, giving you more chances to play, dodge, and dive into the action.


  • Come alone or invite a friend! No pre-registration necessary.
  • There is an entry fee of $3 per player, payable by card and cash.
  • Drop-in dodgeball is still available every Sunday at People’s Community Center from 5:30 - 8 pm.
