Community Open House and new artwork at the MURC
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Community Open House at the Multi-Use Recreation Complex. Residents were able to engage with Town staff about programs and services, and explore some cool Town vehicles! A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the ‘In Good Company’ artwork by Georgina resident Ashlyn Mundy that now hangs above the MURC fireplace. Inspired by the facility’s “campfire” design, the piece reflects Georgina’s unique blend of nature, connection and harmony through scenes of camping, music and stargazing. To learn more about this new addition and other public art in Georgina, visit georgina.ca/PublicArt.

York Regional Police recommend the following safety tips:
- Avoid masks that block vision; face paint or makeup is safer.
- Add reflective items to dark costumes for better visibility.
- Remind children not to eat treats until they are checked at home.
