Thank You, Carol
Our beloved founder Carol Manoogian created nohoartsdistrict.com in 1997 because she saw the artistic potential of our neighborhood. Nancy and Lisa took over the site in 2005, but Carol remained our webmaster and advisor all these years. Carol passed away after a long struggle with cancer. Along with the sadness of Carol’s passing, we feel a huge debt of gratitude to her. We have been blessed to have her in our lives, she shone so brightly in our world and left a legacy of love, wit, brilliance and fierce strength. We will miss her forever. May your memory be a blessing, Carol. More>>

Blindsided
Suicide is a difficult subject to tackle on stage. As raw as it is funny, Blindsided is a personal journey about how Jeannette Rizzi – at the age of 17 — sees her life dive into a tailspin after the suicide of her best friend Katie. Despite being the daughter of a former monk and former nun (yes, really), Rizzi nonetheless struggles to find her spiritual and emotional compass, while facing off against her debilitating anxiety and depression.

Home Front
VJ Night, 1945. On a night like this, anything can happen — the world is never going to be the way it was. Austin Highsmith Garces and C.J. Lindsey star as a white woman and an African American soldier who fall in love the night World War II ends — a time of euphoria for Americans after years of devastating conflict. But can that sense of good will and new beginnings wipe away the racial mistrust and discrimination in a country still deeply mired in the Jim Crow Era?
