Join 4-H'ers across the nation in doing service this April

Throughout the month of April, 4-H'ers across the country will be engaged in service as part of the True Leaders in Service challenge! The Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors are asking all Minnesota 4-H youth and adults to share how they are true leaders beginning on April 1!

Project development committee members - you won't want to miss this webinar! Join us on April 7 at 7 p.m. The webinar is intended for all livestock project development committee members (with the exception of horse and dog).

Registration is now open for University on the Prairie! Youth entering grades 7 - college freshman will learn about science and career opportunities from college faculty and industry professionals. University on the Prairie will be held July 21-23 at the Southwest Research and Outreach Center near Lamberton, Minn. Apply by June 15.  

Minnesota 4-H is offering 4-H livestock day camps at six different locations in June and July. The trainings will focus on youth grade 6 and up, but younger members will be welcome if they bring a parent or adult chaperone. Event and registration due dates vary by location.   

4-H'ers, bring your dog to this training and networking workshop! Supersession will be held May 16 at the Twin Cities Obedience Training Club and is open to all youth grades three and up, their families, trainers, and youth and adult dog project leaders.   

Gopher Dairy Camp registration is now open! 2020 Gopher Dairy Camp will be held June 14-16 on the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus. Camp is open to all youth who have completed grades 6-9, but have not yet started 10th grade. Register by May 31.  

Now is the perfect time of year to start your 4-H crop scouting team! Teams should include 3-5 youth (grades seven and up) and two adult coaches. Teams will participate in the 4-H Crop Scouting Competition on July 27 at the Bayer research lot in Benson, Minnesota.   

Volunteers and club leaders should use the "keeping youth safe" risk management information found on our website when planning 4-H activities and programs that involve transportation.  

Sign up for the 2020 Engineering Design Challenge! Designed for youth in grades 3 and up, the challenge is great for creativity, teamwork, problem solving and idea sharing.  

Volunteer to help test the water quality in your community throughout 2020. This is a great opportunity for 4-H clubs, families and youth to help the environment and provide community service! 

Minnesota 4-H Livestock Judging Camp registration is now open! Register by June 12 for a great judging experience! Open to 4-H members in grades 6 - 12. 

Registration is now open for beginner and advanced youth to attend a Minnesota 4-H Lama Project Youth clinic on May 16 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Non 4-H'ers are welcome, but must complete short-term membership paperwork prior to the clinic.

4-H'ers in grades 6 and up: Register to attend Minnesota 4-H Beef Boot Camp June 4-5. Sign up to participate in live fitting demonstrations, one-on-one instruction personalized to your beef animal, and hands-on industry-based workshops that will be useful in your production herd or 
4-H beef project! Registration opens on April 1!
