Newburyport Local Cultural Council Seeks New Members
The Newburyport Local Cultural Council is looking for new board members. The Cultural Council is a five member volunteer board whose members are appointed by the Mayor, approved by the City Council, and serve three year terms. Their purpose is to distribute funding made available to the community by way of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Abbie of The Port Tavern is heading up the North Shore portion of an initiative that aims to send funds to restaurant industry workers and other tipped employees affected by COVID-19. The idea is that people enjoying a drink at home can provide a tip on that drink remotely. For each tip, funds are directly deposited into the Venmo account of a local (North Shore) industry worker out of work due to COVID-19.
