Center of Hope is a new homeless Women’s Shelter coming to Chester!  It is a community project under the Chester Branch of Christ Central Ministries.  Christ Central Ministries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency (tax ID is 58-2313533).

Center of Hope, located at 127 ½ Hudson St., will provide homeless women and their children a safe, loving, and clean place to heal and grow.  It will be a faith-based 9 month residential program covering addiction recovery (as needed), employment and education for increasing job skills, and classes teaching various life skills (budgeting, nutrition, parenting, healthcare, etc).  Economic self-sufficiency is the goal.

Chris Central Ministries has already raised thousands of dollars thanks to the generosity of Chamber members.  As they continue in their fundraising efforts (look for their letter in the mail), they would like to say a special "thank you" to those members who have already given to make this project a reality:  Springs Close Foundation, OMNOVA Solutions, the J. Marion Sims Foundation, Classic Metals, First Baptist, Chris Gaddy State Farm, Black's Drug Store, and Walmart.
