The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Health Policy Fellows program is seeking mid-career health professionals, behavioral and social scientists, and others with a background in health and health care who want hands-on health policy and leadership experience.
Fellows reside in Washington, D.C. for 12 months and work in congressional or executive branch offices of their choosing, such as the Department of Health and Human Services or U.S. Senate and House offices and committees. Up to six awards of $165,000 each will be made in 2020. In addition to funding support, Fellows emerge from the program with leadership skills and a powerful professional network.

Updates to STAR+PLUS LTSS Billing Matrix and Authorizations
Effective Sept. 1, 2019, STAR+PLUS LTSS bill codes, modifiers, and billing increments for EVV-relevant services have been updated. Providers should have gotten new or updated authorizations from their MCOs reflecting the Sept. 1 changes. Avoid EVV visit transaction rejections at the EVV Aggregator and EVV claim mismatches and denials.

2019-2020 Texas Education for Homeless Children and Youth (TEHCY) Program Summit Grant
The purpose of this grant is to assist TEA with developing and marketing the Texas Education for Homeless Children and Youth (TEHCY) Statewide Summit. The application deadline is 5:00 pm on October 8, 2019. It is anticipated that approximately one (1) grant will be awarded up to $400,000. TEA may award continuation funding for up to two years.

Call for Reviewers for the Journal of Professional Counseling: Practice, Theory & Research
The Journal of Professional Counseling: Practice, Theory & Research (JPC), the official journal of the Texas Counseling Association, is currently accepting applications for positions on the journal editorial review board team. JPC is an indexed, semi-annual scholarly publication, aiming at providing clinical, theoretical, and empirical guidance to counselors, educators, researchers, and other mental health professionals. Qualifications include a graduate degree and licensure in a counseling field, a record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals, and a commitment to providing prompt and comprehensive reviews of approximately 3-5 manuscripts annually. Becoming an editorial reviewer is a great way to: Impact and guide the profession, build your resume/CV, grow your name and brand in the counseling profession.
Individuals interested in applying are asked to include (a) a cover letter outlining their interest, relevant experience, and reasons for applying and (b) a current CV or resume.
