Submit a nomination for the 

Silicon Valley Business Awards

Join us at the premier Business Gala in Silicon Valley. A dinner Signature Event heralded as the most spectacular and looked-forward-to event of the year - recognizes the Best-of-the-Best in Silicon Valley in an Awards Ceremony format.

Nominations are now open for the 2023 Silicon Valley Business Awards, at no cost through January 31^st for our Members! Submit one or ten. There is no limit!

Silicon Valley Connect is the most down-to-earth, no pressure, no stress people-focused event that the SVC Chamber hosts. This Signature Event is a luncheon event by the Government Relations (GR) Committee. The speakers change from year to year; but, are always city managers or other interesting city staff, elected officials, political scientists, advocates, and activists focused on the issues of the day in various Silicon Valley Cities.

Are you up to date on the new pay laws that began January 1^st 2023?

Previously SB 3 increased the minimum wage in California with a deadline of 2022 and an allowance for small businesses under 15 employees to reach the new rate by 2023. However, in July of 2022, the California Department of Finance certified the state minimum wage will increase to $15.50 for hourly, or $64,480 for exempt employees. This began for ALL employers effective January 1, 2023.

Local ordinances may be different for your business than the minimum wage set by the state. Local minimum wage rates may change at any time and business owners are responsible for monitoring them. Read more about wage changes for 2023 here.

In addition to these changes, notice must be given to each employee of wage changes by January 6^th 2023.
