Nominations Open for SUNY Chancellor Awards

Nominations are open for the 2024 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. This award acknowledges students for their outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, campus involvement, community service, or the arts and is the highest honor bestowed upon a student by the university.

To be eligible for the award, a student must graduate between June 2023 and May 2024 and demonstrate exceptional academic performance and integration of SUNY excellence within many aspects of their lives. 

Nominations are open and must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2024. The campus-based committee will review the nominations and forward up to two nominees to the President and ultimately to SUNY by Feb. 1, 2024. The link for the nomination form is available here.

It is strongly encouraged faculty and staff work directly with the student they are nominating to ensure the nomination form is completed as thoroughly as possible.

Please consider nominating students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic and personal lives. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Kitty McCarthy.

The 2024 Agriculture, Food & Human Values Society (AFHVS) and the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS) Conference is June 5-8 at ESF.

This year's theme Right to Food–Food as Commons, will invite discussions on the need to frame the human right to food and nutrition as a global effort that integrates a vision of self-determination and cooperation — locally and across borders.

Call for Abstracts | Student Conference

The Graduate Student Association and the Mighty Oak Student Assembly are seeking abstracts for the CNY Conference on Environmental Science and Studies.

This free conference is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Research students may submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations as sessions or workshops related to the following thematic areas:
