The Our Lady of Mercy Academy (OLMA) Salerno Society was created in 2012 and is named in honor of Sister Mary Dolores Salerno, D.M., OLMA's first principal. It was through her efforts that OLMA introduced sports as an integral part of the school’s curriculum.

The mission of The Salerno Society is to honor Sister Dolores for her incredible commitment to OLMA, as well as to pay tribute to the many others who have supported the growth of our school as athletes, scholars, teachers, coaches, benefactors, and career professionals.

Each year, The Salerno Society selects four individuals, teams and/or families for induction into the OLMA Hall of Fame. This is done during a Gala held each fall to benefit the OLMA Athletic Program for which the Salerno Society was founded.

Former inductees include Coach Tom McCarville; former OLMA athlete, Victoria Imbesi; long-time OLMA supporter and alumnae father and grandfather, Mr. Carmine Catalana, former athletic director, Michelle McGrath, alumna and teacher, Sue Cavagnaro, the Bifulco and Dandrea families, and more.

The Salerno Society is now accepting nominations for the 2018 award season. If you are an alumna, current or former member of OLMA's faculty or staff, or a selection committee member, we want to hear from you. If you know of someone who deserves recognition, please  click here  to review the selection criteria and make your nomination.  The deadline for nominations is June 27, 2018 .
