Re: Nominations for Powys Trade Directors
As a Member of Mid Wales Tourism, you are invited to propose a fellow member (nominee) to serve as a Trade Director to represent Powys on the Board of Directors. This will require two member nomination (proposer / seconder)
The appointment is normally for a period of three years and Directors represent your views at MWT Board Meetings and at other fora.
Two Trade Directors retire, in rota every three years, by Local Authority area. This year it is the turn of Powys Directors. You are currently represented on the Board of Directors by:
(i) Mr Greg Loweth, Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells LD1 5DY
(ii) Mr Owen James, 2 Mill Street, Crickhowell NP8 1BA
For information, Owen James has given notice that they will be standing down as MWT Directors at our AGM in December and therefore will not be seeking nominations for a further term.
Should there be more than two persons nominated to serve as Directors, it will be necessary to hold a ballot. The successful Directors will take up their position following the AGM on Tuesday 15th December 2020.
Please ensure nominees, proposers and seconders are members of Mid Wales Tourism and that you have their agreement to be nominated. Also, please ensure that the proposers and seconders are not members of the same establishment. A list of 2020 members is enclosed for information.
