Nominations are being accepted for the four at-large director seats on the Triangle MLS Board of Directors. The term for these seats runs from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021. Any MLS participant interested in running for one of the local seats may do so by submitting a petition signed by at least ten Brokers-in-Charge who are active TMLS Participants. Completed petitions must be returned to Rachel Wiest, Vice President of Operations at the TMLS office by 5pm, Wednesday, September 18th. Petitions may be emailed to RachelW@TriangleMLS.com or mailed to Ms. Rachel Wiest, Triangle MLS, Inc., 111 Realtors Way, Cary, NC 27513 or faxed to Ms. Wiest's attention at 919.654.5401. Candidates meeting the petition requirements will be included on the ballot with the Nominating Committee nominees.

Directors must be owners, officers, principals, sales associates (agents), or Branch Office Managers of Participant firms. No more than one director may serve at the same time from any single company.


On August 20, 2019, the Nominating Committee nominated the following at-large candidates:
  • Tom Gongware - Allen Tate
  • David Jones - Coldwell Banker Howard Perry & Walston
  • Eddie Speas - Coldwell Banker Advantage
  • John Wood - RE/MAX United
The directors serving until December 31, 2020 are: 
  • Eddie Brown - Fonville Morisey Realty, Wake County
  • Chanel Hart D'Aprix - Domicile Realty, Orange County
  • Kirk West - West & Woodall, Durham County 
Directors will be elected by Triangle MLS Participants and election ballots will be emailed to Participants on September 23, 2019. If the number of candidates running for the Board of Directors equals the number of open positions on the board after nominations have closed, the candidates listed above will be elected by acclamation.
