NON-MOTORIZED TRAILS COMMITTEE -
IMPRESSIVE 2022 FUND RAISING

The Non-motorized Trails Committee, a standing committee of the St. Germain Town Board, presented a facsimile check in the amount of $34,255.00 to the Town on December 29, 2022. The Committee, in conjunction with St. Germain Silent Trails UA, raised that amount of money during 2022 to support St. Germain's Fern Ridge trail system. Funding sources included:
  • $15,000 grant from the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce
  • $4,000 grant from the Green Bay Packer Foundation
  • Independence Day Celebration 5K race proceeds
  • Raffle proceeds from a $1,200 valued bike purchased at significant discount from Chequamegon Adventure Company, Minocqua
  • Generous donations from local residents, visitors, and businesses
  • Various sponsored events

The funds were used to purchase a winter fat-biking trail groomer and a storage shed in addition to completing construction of mountain bike trails and installing fencing and signage throughout the trail system.

Future committee goals include construction of a covered pavilion to provide trail users with a year round sheltered area to rest and relax after enjoying the trails.

The Town Board asks the Town to join us in congratulating this committee and its supporters for its outstanding contributions to first class outdoor public recreational opportunities, and at no burden to the tax levy!
