CAEP Noncredit MIS Data and Accountability Workshops

WestEd is pleased to invite you to participate in a regional Noncredit MIS Data and Accountability Workshop at a location near you. Each learning event will focus on augmenting your knowledge of CAEP outcomes, developing a shared understanding of data concepts, and strengthening your approach to assigning course codes. There will be an opportunity to participate in interactive dialogue, learn best practices around engaging program directors, managers, counselors, instructional faculty, and other staff members, and the chance to identify strategies for collaborating and communicating among college researchers, noncredit practitioners, and CAEP consortia leads. Find the workshop schedule and registration link. If you are interested in attending a workshop that has not yet been scheduled, please fill out a registration form that corresponds to your region. Advocate for your students and your programs! Join community services and noncredit/continuing education colleagues at the ACCE 2020 Annual Conference scheduled Jan. 29-31, 2020 at The Doubletree in Sacramento. Topics include community services, managed enrollment, advocacy, policy, SEA Program, guided pathways, CAEP, distance education, concurrent enrollment and other best practices. See you in Sacramento! The conference begins at 1:00 p.m. on the 29th and ends at 12:30 p.m. on the 31st, though start and end times may vary slightly. Register for the ACCE conference here!

NOVA Program Area 18-19 Certification Due Dec. 1 CASAS has recently updated the CAEP Program Hours Report for members using TE to show 18-19 instructional hours. New TE features include an option to view the NOVA simple program area format in Report Setup, as well as options to expand CTE to include separate listings for Workforce Preparation (formerly known as Workforce Reentry) and Pre-Apprenticeship, and the ability to split ABE/ASE into ABE, HSE and HS diploma. Also Due Dec. 1 in NOVA is the 17/18, 18/19 and 19/20 Member Expense Report (Q1)

OTAN Website Live Demonstration and Resources Wednesday, Dec. 11 12 p.m.-1 p.m. OTAN (the Outreach and Technical Assistance Network) is a California state leadership project that focuses on assisting adult education staff with integrating technology into instruction and curriculum. This workshop introduces participants to OTAN and focuses on teaching resources available on and through the OTAN website for ESL/EL Civics/Citizenship, ABE, and High School Diploma and equivalency preparation programs.
