Successful Executive Transitions: Relationships with the Board
Many people within our nonprofits - employees, volunteers, board members - contribute to their success and deserve to have their work continued. Executive directors/CEOs need to be able to turn to our boards of directors, especially our board chairs, to make both short- and long-term succession plans to sustain the future of our organizations.

This article continues our series exploring the complexities and approaches to successful executive transitions and succession planning. Read on and stay tuned.
Halftime, Not Naptime
While NC legislators passed last month’s crossover deadline (the date when bills must pass either the House or Senate to be considered this legislative session), they can still consider a number of bills with implications on taxes, state spending, elections, and redistricting. Check out our halftime report for updates on dozens of bills that could affect nonprofits.

The Center is always advocating on behalf of 501(c)(3) nonprofits across the state, and your voice is an important part of the conversations. Get the tools to help you lay the groundwork and build relationships to advocate for your own mission.
