Learn about Lake James Christian Camp & Retreat and SCCF's New Grant Software
Nonprofit Network Newsletter
A nonprofit organization located on Lake James in Angola,
Lake James Christian Camp & Retreat Center is celebrating 90 years of youth camps, retreats, and community events this summer. Through offering bible classes and outdoor activities, their mission is spiritual transformation. The outdoor focus has been increasingly important as kids spend more time indoors, immersed in technology. About 300 volunteers support the camp throughout the year, and volunteers of all ages are often invited to join campers in June and July to act as a mentor or a “camp parent” for the week. “Our success is only possible with the help of volunteers. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to function the way that we do,” shared Matt Love, Executive Director.
We’re excited to announce that SCCF has switched to a new grant software system this spring! Change can be tough, but the new system is meant to make things easier for grantees. You’ll log on from the same grants tab on our website, but each applicant will need to create a new account. All deadlines are the same, and the questions on the application are similar to previous versions. If you have questions about how to navigate the new system, there’s a
written step-by-step tutorial on our website. You are always welcome to
contact us with your questions.

JUNE NONPROFIT TRAINING
June 25, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
at Steuben County Community Foundation
Your nonprofit's financial information shouldn't be scary or intimidating. Steuben County Community Foundation is excited to present this opportunity for nonprofits to learn about budgeting from local accountant, Brenda Shipe.
Golf tee markers - Lynn Wernet has close to 100 golf tee markers available that a nonprofit could reuse with new lettering. They are in the shape of a golf ball, originally purchased from TLA signs and used as a fundraiser for a breast cancer organization. If interested, contact her at 260-668-7929.
Swap or donate items, or share information about a volunteer opportunity for your nonprofit here. Email
