The Patterson Foundation Match
For the 2022 Giving Challenge
A key factor in the Giving Challenge’s success has been the Community Foundation's collaboration with The Patterson Foundation, which has provided $24 million in matching funds and donor incentives since 2012.

The Patterson Foundation is continuing its work to support the nonprofit sector in our region through the 2022 Giving Challenge. To strengthen giving throughout our community, The Patterson Foundation will contribute a 1:1 match for unique donations, up to $100 per donor, per nonprofit organization. There will be no limit on the number of unique individual matches a nonprofit organization can receive.

For nonprofit organizations participating during the 24-hour giving day, The Patterson Foundation has prepared logos, brand guidelines, and FAQs about its support on the Giving Challenge website.
New, Longstanding, and
Geographically-Specific Prize Opportunities

Prizes awarded during the 2022 Giving Challenge are an engaging way for nonprofit organizations to dive deep into their capacity building efforts and explore partnership opportunities, and build connections that last far beyond the 24-hour challenge.

As in years past, prizes are divided into two categories:

  • Automatically Eligible Prizes – no application required (see each prize for specific deadline information)
  • Application Prizes – application required either before or after the 24-hours of giving (see each prize for specific deadline information)

Whether you’re in for the friendly competition or comradery, there are plenty of prize opportunities to choose from to recognize your organization. Good luck and let your creative fly!
