Registration is Now Open

Registration for the 2022 Giving Challenge is now open. Don't miss out on the chance for your organization to raise crucial unrestricted funding in just 24 hours. Visit the Giving Challenge website to sign up today.

When you fill out the registration form, your organization will designate a Giving Challenge Team Leader. Your team leader is your organization's single point of contact for all things 2022 Giving Challenge. Make sure your team leader is added as an administrator for your organization's profile in The Giving Partner, and be sure the email givingchallenge@cfsarasota.org is saved in your contacts.

Kick-Off: Getting Ready
Webinar Recording

Missed our kick-off webinar on January 11? You can find the recording and slides on the Giving Challenge website. Led by the 2022 Giving Challenge team at GiveGab, the Community Foundation, and The Patterson Foundation, you'll learn about registration, prizes, matching funds, and deadlines.

If a representative from your organization was unable to attend, we highly recommend at least one individual watch the recording and relay the information to your organization.
Building Your Social Media &
Online Fundraising Strategy for the 2022 Giving Challenge
Social media strategist and coach Dana Snyder lends her expertise for this 90-minute session to provide guidance and insights for your nonprofit organization as you prepare your 2022 Giving Challenge campaign. This session will cover topics such as Business/Corporate Engagement, Online/In-person Events, Organic/Paid Social Media Plans, latest social media trends, and brand awareness. This session includes a live Q&A.

Who Should Attend: 

  • Nonprofit staff or volunteer(s) leading your organization's marketing and communications for the 2022 Giving Challenge to plan your social media engagement strategies. We encourage staff supporting your marketing efforts to join as well.

the 2022 Giving Challenge
Join us on March 30, just one month before the start of the 2022 Giving Challenge, for a webinar reviewing last-minute tips and best practices to engage with your supporters and have a successful giving day. Our partners at GiveGab will lead the discussion and Community Foundation staff will be available to answer your questions.

An Open Invitation to Become a
Scholarship Committee Volunteer
Do you want to help open opportunities, realize possibilities, and transform dreams into reality for students across our community? Be a part of their life-changing journey by becoming a Scholarship Committee Volunteer.
 
Each year, the Community Foundation welcomes volunteers from around our community to review scholarship applications to help determine award recipients. We are always welcoming new committee members.
 
Committee Eligibility:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Reside in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, or DeSoto counties
  • Must not be a current scholarship recipient of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County
  • Neither you nor your immediate family members will be eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County while you are actively serving as a Scholarship Committee member
 
Committee Requirements
  • Must have computer access and the ability to use a computer
  • Complete our Scholarship Committee Resume Form
  • Attend a Scholarship Committee Orientation or meet one-on-one with our Scholarships Team to be trained on the committee review system
 
Committee Time Commitment:
  • Approximately 8-10 hours reviewing and providing feedback on scholarship applications through our online committee review system
  • This virtual opportunity gives you the chance to give back and review applications in your own time within a two-week period

Equity & Access Grant Opportunity
Deadline Approaching: January 28, 2022
Equity and Access Grants ($5,000 - $30,000) support projects that promote equity and access to services amongst populations who face systemic barriers in our community. These grants are an opportunity for the Community Foundation to partner with organizations that are focusing on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access in local, direct service work. 

Cycle 2 for the Equity and Access grant cycle opened on December 7, 2021 and will close on January 28, 2022.
