2025 Benefits & Compensation Report

Survey Open now through May 1, 2025


The Community Foundation of Sarasota County is partnering again with Association TRENDS to conduct a confidential compensation survey to report on trends within nonprofit agencies in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.

  • Compare and benchmark staff salary levels to other nonprofits in our region
  • Set fair and competitive compensation to help hire and maintain valuable staff

Unrestricted Grant Opportunity

Organizations that complete the survey by the following dates will be considered for these unrestricted grants:

  • March 28, 2025: $750 grant
  • April 11, 2025: $500 grant
  • April 25, 2025: $250 grant


The survey opened March 3 and will close on May 1. The report will be available in the Summer 2025.

Fueling Dynamic Fundraising

Now Accepting Applications


The Patterson Foundation's Fueling Dynamic Fundraising initiative is offering two fully funded, in-person fundraising courses to help nonprofits enhance their fundraising practices and increase mission impact:


  1. Principles & Techniques of Fundraising: For nonprofits with budget sizes between $300,000 to $5 million, this course presents the total framework for operating an accomplished fund development program.
  2. Fundraising for Small Nonprofits: For nonprofits with budget sizes up to $300,000, this course addresses the unique fundraising challenges and opportunities experienced by small nonprofits.


Applications are being accepted now through April 7, 2025.

Annual Community Grant Cycle


Sisterhood For Good's annual community grant cycle is now open. If you're organization is located in Manatee and/or Sarasota County, you are eligible to apply.


The grant cycle closes on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 5:00pm. Learn more about their funding priorities and apply today.

Robust Grants Database Available at All Sarasota Public Libraries


The Community Foundation has funded access to the subscription for Foundation Directory Online (FDO) through the Sarasota County Library system. FDO provides exhaustive data and intuitive search functionality to deliver the information needed to reach fundraising goals quickly and efficiently, encompassing 189,000+ grant makers.
