New Grant Cycle Starts Next Week

Applications will be accepted starting next Friday, Aug. 1.

The Community Foundation of Sarasota County will open its next community impact grant cycle on Friday, Aug. 1, with applications due 30 days later. Community impact grants are intended to support nonprofits that help families achieve lasting economic stability and mobility.

Interested in applying? Priority will be given to applications rooted in the foundation's 2Gen (or two-generation) Approach, which calls for nonprofits to implement strategies that intentionally support both children and the adults in their lives.

Questions on How to Apply?

After the grant cycle opens, the foundation is holding an online information session that will provide an overview of the grant process, nonprofit eligibility, focus areas, and how to submit a solid proposal. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the information session, which will take place on Zoom at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5. There's no need to pre-register. Just click the link below to join.

Introducing: Office Hours!

In order to more quickly answer common questions about how to apply for grants, our Community Impact department will be holding regular weekly Zoom sessions that anyone can drop in on. The first session will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Aug. 8, and continue at that same time every Friday. This is an excellent opportunity to get direct, immediate feedback from Community Foundation staff about grants and applications. There's no need to pre-register. Just click the link below to join.
