World, meet Remus aka Remi. This little four pound mini wolf and his friends have been gracing our private dog park with their presence weekly since COVID-19 hit Austin. For those of you who have been clients for a long time, you know that we've always been really passionate about spaying & neutering. This month, we made a decision to relax our spay/neuter policy from six months to one year. Due to varying opinions among the veterinary community, we would like our clients to have more freedom to reach the best decision for themselves and their canine companions. We will still move intact dogs to orange cards from the age of 6 months until they reach one year to prevent pregnancy and focus on safe playgroup formation.

COVID Update

DogGirl, here. Noodle and I are feeling pretty stir crazy these days. But I'm also doing everything I can to stay safe. If you're not yet ready to bring your dogs out to DogBoy's, let me tell you - we totally understand! Many of us are staying home and self-isolating to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe. Here's what we're doing to stay safe at the Ranch:

We have a core group of employees who are committed to serving the clients and dogs who are coming, making sure we are wearing our masks, and social distancing from our coworkers and clients. We have continued the process of contactless pickup and drop off, with new signage in the circle drive to simplify and speed up the process. Our office is closed to clients, but we still have staff onsite answering phones and taking care of pups. You are welcome to call or email us for retail orders with free curbside pickup!

Tours are all virtual for the time being, which you can watch here if you've never done so!

Mason Emken, Promoted to Kennel Manager

Congratulations to Mason Emken for becoming DogBoy's new Kennel Manager! Mason literally grew up on the Ranch, and has been working at DogBoy's since he was just 15 years old.

Mason is already working on some exciting new changes. He has implemented a new staff training program called Pet Guru College. Also in the works are improved grooming techniques and a reimagined daycare that will include learning and enrichment. Stay tuned for more details about that!

We are so excited to have him in this new leadership role and we look forward to all the improvements he has in store for your pups!
