Noon Saturday: Celebrate the Grand Reopening
Of Big Canoe’s Historic Community Facility
– The Racquet Club
One of Big Canoe’s most storied buildings, the Racquet Club in the Village Core is set to celebrate its grand reopening this weekend.
The POA and the Racquet Club are inviting the entire community to take in this reimagined, 107-year-old structure at its open house festivities.
When: Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15 – but the building will stay open until 6 p.m.
Food & Beverages: Complimentary champagne, beer, and appetizers
Entertainment: DJ Kevin Tillery
What: Remember how the patio around the Racquet Club became the ultimate outdoor gathering place at last year’s Oktoberfest? It’s in that spirit that the tree-lined area will become a regular hotspot for groups to gather for events, barbecues, and functions – starting with the Racquet Club’s Grand Reopening.
Shopping: Along with covering all your pickleball, tennis and bocce needs, the reimagined Racquet Club has designated retail sections featuring:
- hiking and trails gear, such as Sansolei hats, Camelbak hydration backpacks, and clothing by Columbia
- accessories for dog owners, with such brands as Tall Tails
- athleisure wear
Come by for a drink and a nibble with your friends and neighbors, catch the breeze among the trees on the patio, and check out the gorgeous, just-refinished floorboards of the original historic building!
