January 2018
A Note from our Executive Director
New year, new day, and it is a new day at Noonday! Looking back, disasters, sickness, death and many more struggles of 2017 pale in comparison to the great things God is doing in Noonday! His Church, His Children can know rest in the truth of Psalm 121:1-2... "I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." And the Psalm ends with "...He will keep the Lord, who made heaven and earth." And the Psalm ends with... "He will keep us forevermore!"

Disciples that are truly following Christ make Him known to a world that needs to know Him. Unfortunately, as Christian educators, we sometimes treat discipleship and evangelism as two separate functions. At the REDEFINE conference, you will be challenged to equip your church to make an impact in the world with the gospel through discipleship.

Puerto Rico Disaster Relief Update
Noonday Association, our Churches, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board , and Serve the World have come together in an incredible way to help the people of Puerto Rico recover from the devastation of hurricane Maria. We have an extensive network of churches in P.R. we are working with. To date, we have sent 24 shipping containers full of supplies to partner churches on the island, equipping them to serve/help their local communities. The pastors of these churches are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and assistance.

Noonday has been asked by Stuart Lang of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board to take the lead in coordinating relief efforts and mobilizing mission teams with rebuilding. If your church is interested in learning more about sending mission teams to Puerto Rico, email Howard Koepka . Please continue to pray and support our efforts to help our brothers and sisters in their time of need and to reach "Puerto Rico para Christo"/Puerto Rico for Christ.

Here are three ways to help those in need through Storehouse Ministries:

1. Consider becoming a church that regularly contributes food and/or monetary donations to Storehouse Ministries.

2. Become a pantry church where food boxes are made available to those in need in your local community.

3. Volunteer! Set up a time for your group (Small Group, SS Class, Youth group, etc.) to come and help at Storehouse. You will pack boxes with food, a Bible, and a tract.

Please email Tish Young for more information.

Financial Support for Noonday
Noonday is supported by gifts from member churches and does not receive support from the Cooperative Program gifts given by churches to the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and Southern Baptist Convention. Please continue to faithfully and generously support this ministry of strengthening churches and starting new churches as we work together to impact lostness in our local and global mission field.
