The Chicago Police have announced charges against
Juan Foster, 36, of the 1400 Block of West Edgewater in connection with the shooting of an 18 year old on Friday, June 7 in the 200 block of West North Avenue. Foster is charged with Felony Aggravated Battery/Discharge of a Firearm for shooting the victim in the right side of the body, after the victim left a convenience store located in the 200 Block of West North Ave. The male victim self- transported to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition.
Foster was placed in custody on June 7, 2019 in the 400 block of West Barry after he was positively identified in the Silver Jeep Cherokee involved in the shooting. He remains in custody and will be in court tomorrow.
Thanks to the many witnesses who provided identifying information to the police, and to the 18th and 19th District police, who promptly investigated this crime and made this arrest within several hours.
