North Beach Oceanside Park Beachwalk

May 27, 2022

What's Happening

Today, the contractor has commenced the removal of the construction fencing, making this stunning segment available for the use and enjoyment of our residents, ahead of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

With the completion of this portion of the Beachwalk, there are now more than seven miles of oceanfront promenade that connects the entire city from South Pointe to the city's northern limits.

A formal ribbon-cutting event will be scheduled at a later date.

Project Overview and Benefits

The city’s 7-mile beachwalk system is a continuous paver pathway from South Pointe Park to 87 Terrac. The beachwalk is part of the larger East Coast Greenway, a walking and biking route stretching over 3,000 miles from Maine to Key West. This system promotes alternative transportation and connects the community to parks, cultural institutions and business centers. This project is the final link in the Miami Beach portion of the East Coast Greenway.
