Forestry & Environmental Camp Held in Greensboro
The NCFA's Forestry Camp was held this past week in Greensboro for three days, Monday through Wednesday.  Sixth grade students from Kernodle Middle School participated in two day of instruction and then put what they had learned to the test in a series of tests.  The Pecan Team absorbed the most information and took first place honors.

"The teachers were really pleased with the camp," explained NCFA Executive Vice President Bob Schaefer.  "This school has been a part of our program from the beginning and they look forward to it each year.  We appreciate all of our members who took time out of their schedules to volunteer to teach."

The NCFA is still working re-establishing the Forestry Camp in Wilkes County and will also coordinate a Forestry Camp in Wilmington.  Both of those camps will take place in the fall.
