Please mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information including time and location. In the meantime, we encourage you to attend one of three NC Region Potlucks being offer around the region. We are excited for the opportunity to gather again, and we hope you are too!
Addiction Workshop Planning for NC Region: Faith Behind Bars and Beyond is committed to having Addiction Workshops in all 6 regions of ECCT. We are willing to make this commitment because 88% of CT inmates self-identify as having an addiction when they enter prison. The other reason is that even thou gh most of our parishes host at least one AA or NA group, the people in our pews know very little about these programs. If you would like to be part of this planning process, please be in touch with Ellen Adams, Deacon (Chair of FBBB) at 860-374-3537.
Dear All, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for giving your time and talent toward a successful boot party. The event had 600 people registered for boots with 403 guests in attendance. Footwear With Care and Hartford Police will get boots and socks to those who registered and did not attend. Thank you for caring for our neighbor, providing them with dignity and respect as you served them. It was wonderful to see conversation as people were escorted through the party. Conversation while a foot massage was being given, and a calm reassurance that the flu shot wouldn't hurt too much. Please know that this party could not have been a success without your generosity. Blessings, The Rev. Bonnie Matthews, Deacon.
