Pulaski County Public School Superintendents Discuss Ford Next Generation Learning

A historic partnership between the four public school districts and the five chambers in Pulaski County is forming around a new model for public high school. Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL)  mobilizes educators, local employers and community leaders to transform teaching and learning in high schools by creating and maintaining career-themed academies. 
NLRCVB Debuts Trip Planning Tool and Free App
Designed with Visit Widget, the planning tool provides a new way to explore what North Little Rock has to offer, including upcoming events, popular restaurants and points of interest. Visitors can search by categories like “Arts & Culture”, “Dog Friendly” and “Nightlife”.
If they choose to share their location, visitors will see nearby restaurants or attractions. Users can create itineraries and share with others through email, social and SMS.
The free app (Explore North Little Rock!) is now available in the App Store and Google Play.
Laman Learners’ Online Book Club 
Laman Library’s Laman Learners professional development Book Club examines Kim Scott’s Radical Candor: How to be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity this month. Join the Facebook group , in connection with the William F. Laman Public Library Facebook page .
Laman Learners holds one in-person/Facebook Live gathering each month from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on the last Friday (Aug. 30) at Argenta Nutrition, 419 Main Street, across from the Argenta Branch Library. If you aren’t able to pick up a copy of the book beforehand at Argenta Branch Library, don’t let that stop you from attending and sharing ideas.
