Weekends in the Loop are always packed with fun activities! Let's kick this weekend off by celebrating National Vodka day!! (although we need more than 1 day to celebrate vodka in our opinion!) In honor of this very important holiday, BET VODKA will be in store pouring samples and tasty cocktail creations this Friday from 430 - 630 pm!

On Saturday the retailers of the North Loop will be participating in the Fall Crawl which means that there will be deals and specials at all of our shops. Look for the balloons to get goodies and register to win some prizes!!

2017 Field Recordings, Pets

$19.99

The deep, dark, depths of Petite Sirah are showcased in this release from the ever-talented and highly prolific wine-maker Andrew Jones. While it is a dark and brooding wine, perfect for hardy fare off the grill these fall evenings, there is also a lift to the wine. Bright acid permeates on the palate and makes this cuvee highly quaffable. This was one of the stars of our basement tasting last Sunday. Additionally, watch for tickets for this talented winemaker's event in our basement in Mid-November.

2016 Pievalta Verdicchio del Caselli di Jesi

$19.99

Verdicchio is one of the classic white grape varietals of the Marche region of Italy and is definitely one we should get to know better. It's natural acidity makes it a great dinner date or a great companion to a plate of pecorino. This wine enters the palate with the brightness of gentle citrus and is followed by the roundness of roasted almonds. The Pievalta Verdicchio dei Castelli de Jesi is certified biodynamic and carries the alchemical symbol for spring on the label. This wine was recently featured on our Friday night line up and would be a great choice for those precious few days of sunny, warm fall days.

2015 E. Guigal Cotes du Rhone

$21.99

Decidedly the best vintage from the Rhone Valley since 2010, this 2015 Guigal CDR surpasses the winemaker's mission to have his Cotes du Rhone be the best possible introduction to the region. I have a personal reason for loving this wine, as well. It is kept in the cellar of friend's of mine, in Lyon, as their everyday wine. When I was last in France they treated me to this wine with lentil and sausage stew and French cheeses, nearly every evening.This wine opens up with aromas of deep fresh fruit, and spice from the higher percentage of syrah. With 18 months of oak, the wine is soft on the palate and pairs perfectly with, yes, sausage and lentil stew!
