John Dickenson. I will start with a responsive double and over 4C bid 4D showing a big two-suiter in the reds.
Bill Bauer. A tough one. I suppose I will bid 3D. I would have liked to bid 3S, but partner likely would not recognize the bid as Michaels, rather support for clubs. I will rebid 4D over 3S.
Elaine Clair.
- I would make a responsive double to show values and the other two suits.
- I would bid 4D to show a very distributional hand with a longer diamond suit and a good hand.
One thing to consider is whether your partnership plays a new suit by overcaller’s partner as forcing.
Another is if you play Rosenkranz doubles you lose your ability to make a responsive double. There are variables here which would affect the bidding.
Mitch Snyder. I first thought about starting with a responsive double but with this extreme distribution I don't think it will work. I'll start with 3D and hope I can bid 4H the next time around.

- I will bid 4H. With a spade void, I have to play in one of my suits. Partner should realize I have a big two-suiter.
