Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Coming to NRH

It's official, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is coming to North Richland Hills. The 42,000 square foot building on Davis Boulevard near North Tarrant Parkway will include eight theaters, a full service restaurant, and an outdoor patio with a play area for children. Alamo officially announced the new location on March 28, 2018. The cinema is expected to open in Spring 2019. Learn more about Alamo Drafthouse on the NRH Economic Development website

 
Sounds of Spring Concert Series Moves to NRH City Hall

After four successful seasons at the NRH Centre Plaza, the Sounds of Spring concert series is moving to the NRH City Hall Plaza, located at 4301 City Point Drive, in 2018. Steadily growing attendance at the free Friday night concerts has highlighted the need for a roomier venue. 

Favorite elements of Sounds of Spring will remain the same, with food available for purchase from a variety of gourmet food trucks and the ever-popular Kids Zone with free games and crafts on site at each concert. Admission is free and parking is free. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the shows starts at 7 p.m. We look forward to seeing you each Friday, beginning April 13 through May 18, 2018. 2018 'Round the Town with Oscar Includes Walks & Rides

Now in its 5th year, 'Round the Town with Oscar is expanding to include monthly walks in addition to the monthly bicycle rides. Both the walks and rides provide a great opportunity for residents to get outdoors, visit with city leaders, meet new people and be active in NRH! Fire Department Honored with Best Practices Award

The North Richland Hills Fire Department was honored during the March 26, 2018 City Council Meeting for achieving Recognized Status in the Texas Fire Chiefs Association Best Practices Program. They are one of only 16 departments in the state to earn this designation! You can watch the presentation online

VIPS Surpass 100,000 Hours Volunteered

The North Richland Hills Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) recently hit a major milestone, surpassing 100,000 hours volunteered. The VIPS team is comprised of 44 members and has saved the city millions of dollars through their efforts since 2008. City leaders and staff recognized their accomplishment on March 23, 2018.



Behind the Book: C J Box

Join us on Tuesday, April 3, as we welcome New York Times bestselling author C.J. Box to the NRH Library. Mr. Box  will visit to release his newest western crime novel The Disappeared where Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett has two lethal cases to contend with. A ticketed reception will be held from 12:00-12:45 p.m. and a free speaking engagement will take place at 1:00 p.m. A book signing will immediately follow. Indigo is a sweet 1-year-old Shepherd/Heeler mix.  She sits on command, loves treats and is very attentive.  She would make a wonderful dog in your home.    

Trina is a 4-year-old Tabby. She is a calm and lovable cat that enjoys being held and pet . She would make a purrrrr-fect addition to your family.
