Weekly Summary
  • Two semi-trucks collided in the north bound lanes of I-43 at Brown Deer Rd on December 12. One driver was injured.
  • The Fire Department Board of Directors and Finance Committee met on December 11 at Whitefish Bay Village Hall. The Board heard an update on potential construction projects at Station 83 and  and provided feedback to Staff on implementation of a lift assist fee in 2019.
  • The Fire Commission also met on December 11. The Commission approved the promotions of Lieutenants Dan Tyk and Bryan Calvert to Captain, Heavy Equipment Operator Ryan Bialk to Lieutenant and Firefighters Joseph Wucherer and Brian Sayeg to the rank of Heavy Equipment Operator. The Commission previously approved the promotion of Firefighter Mark Bojar to Heavy Equipment Operator. The Department will hold a promotion ceremony on January 4 for the individuals identified above. The Commission also approved the appointment of Joshua Rosenquist to Intern Firefighter.
  • Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Sullivan will be retiring from the Department later this month. His last work day will be Monday December 17. The Department will hold a ceremony to recognize his service on December 17 at 8 AM at Fire Station 85 in Bayside. 
  • All members of the Department are currently going through CPR Recertification.
