Departmental Weekly Update
Station Remodel Project Updates

Fire Station remodel projects continue at our stations in Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. Contractors at the Shorewood Station are preparing floors this week while in Whitefish Bay final drywall and painting continues.

The Department is reviewing the first change order on the Shorewood project that primarily relates to unexpected conditions found as a result of the demolition process.

Weekly Update
  • Chief Whitaker and members of the Department presented a proclamation to Pastor Bob Dick and the Divinity-Divine Charity Evangelical Lutheran Church at their church service last Sunday thanking them for their donation of funds to purchase a LUCAS CPR Device. The North Shore Fire/Rescue Foundation matched the church's donation which allowed the purchase of a second device. The two donations totaled approximately $26,000. Pastor Dick is a chaplain with the Department and provides tremendous support to our organization. Thank you!
  • Assistant Chief Maydak attended the Model Performance in Community Risk Reduction Symposium this week in Tennessee. Funds for this trip were provided by the State of Wisconsin Fire Inspectors Association.
  • The Department held quarterly meetings with Captains and Lieutenants.
