Station 83 Remodel Update

A plan is being finalized for remodel of Station 83 in Shorewood. The Project Team has developed a design that maintains a majority of the exterior facade of the fire station and moves all fire department operations to the first floor of the building.

"Moving all operations to the first floor of the building allows us to more effectively utilize the current shell of the building," said Fire Chief Robert Whitaker.

The public entrance of the building will be moved to the south side of the building and a small addition will be added to the building on the northeast corner to provide sufficient space for a single story fire/rescue station.

The project is being reviewed by the Village of Shorewood Plan Commission and Design Review Board next week.
