Weekly Summary
  • Department Staff held their monthly staff meeting. Goals and Objectives for 2019 were discussed and drafted for inclusion with the 2019 Budget Presentation that will occur in August.
  • Four candidates for firefighter/paramedic positions were interviewed by staff. These candidates are being considered for positions to fill vacancies in September.
  • Assistant Chief Harris, Finance Director Schmitt and Fire Commissioner Conlin attended a seminar on hiring of diverse candidates in Beloit. Information will be presented to the Fire Commission from the presentation.
  • A landscape contractor struck a gas main at 900 W Bradley Rd on July 24. WE Energies secured the gas leak while the fire department stood by.
