Weekly Summary

  • One person was injured in a roll over accident in the 5000 Block of Southbound I-43 on May 2.
  • Truck 82 assisted the Milwaukee Fire Department at a 2 Alarm Apartment Fire on at 45th and Hampton Ave on May 5.
  • One person was injured in a roll over accident in the 4800 Block of Southbound I-43 on May 6.
  • A 41 year old female was found dead in her home in Glendale on May 7 of a possible overdose. The police department and Milwaukee County Medical Examiner are investigating the death.
  • Truck 83 assisted the Milwaukee Fire Department at a 2 Alarm House Fire in the 1500 Block of N Farwell Ave on May 7.
  • Recruits at the Joint Fire Training Academy are completing their firefighter safety/rescue training this week.
  • Companies are participating in joint training with other area fire departments this week at the Milwaukee Fire Department Fire Training Academy.
  • Board of Directors Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday May 14 at River Hills Village Hall.
  • Staff had several meetings this week with municipal officials:
    • Chief Whitaker and Finance Director Harrigan met with newly elected Brown Deer Village President Wanda Montgomery and Village Manager Michael Hall to discuss current and upcoming issues in the Department.
    • Chief Whitaker and Finance Director Harrigan met with Whitefish Bay Village Manager Paul Boening and Finance Director Jen Amerell to review transfer of bond proceeds from the Village to the Department for the Station 84 remodel project.
    • Chief Whitaker, Bayside Village Manager Andy Pederson and 911 Director Liane Scharnott met with two Bayside residents regarding the White Oaks Fire.
    • Battalion Chief Mayer attended a meeting regarding lifeguard services at Atwater Beach in Shorewood and a water main replacement pre-construction meeting in Glendale.
