Station 84 Remodel Project Update

The remodel project for Station 84 was originally scheduled to being on June 3. The start date has been pushed by approximately one week until formal plan reviews are finished.
Weekly Summary

  • Congratulations to the six Firefighter/Paramedic recruits that completed the Joint Fire Training Academy on Friday May 24. Teagan Melin, Joshua Rosenquist, Robert Rafferty, Asadeidein Ali, Jason Quicker and Marcus Ray all completed the seven weeks of training along with recruits from St. Francis, Wauwatosa and West Allis Fire Departments. 
  • Chief Whitaker and Captain Tyk were invited to represent the Department at the wedding of a woman who was living in White Oaks Apartment building that experienced a fire in March. The bride's wedding dress was removed from the burning building nearly undamaged by the fire department. The couple recognized the Department at the wedding ceremony.
  • The Department completed three days of refresher training on bluff/rope rescue this week.
  • The Fire Commission will meet June 5.
  • Department personnel and apparatus participated in the Fox Point and Whitefish Bay Memorial Day events on Monday May 27.
  • Chief Whitaker briefed the Bayside Village Board on the Department's 2018 Annual Report at it's meeting on May 16.
