Weekly Update


  • Congratulations to HEO Matt Napreilla and Thomas Yank who were officially sworn in as Heavy Equipment Operators by Commission Chair Padway on May 28 (pictured right).

  • Administrative Staff met with representatives of North Shore Professional Firefighters Association to jointly discuss issues relating to improving service delivery this week. Follow-up meetings will occur in the near future to continue the discussion.

  • Three days of vehicle extrication training was conducted for all personnel this week.

  • Staff continues to work on updating the capital improvement plan for the Department as part of the 2022 Budget Process.

  • Congratulations to City of Brookfield Fire Chief Charlie Myers who retired this week after serving careers in the Air Force and fire service throughout Wisconsin in a variety of roles. Charlie served as Deputy Chief at North Shore from 2001-2008 (pictured right).

  • Fire Department Board of Directors meeting scheduled for June 8 has been cancelled. The Board's Personnel Committee will meet on the 8th however at 8 AM.
