Help Researchers Learn More About Fire/EMS Difficulties with Opioid Crisis
My name is Ryan Lofaro, and I am currently a 3rd year doctoral student in the School of Public Administration at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). I obtained your contact information through the National Public Safety Information Bureau. To learn more about me, here is a link to FAU’s Ph.D. students page (I am the fifth student down). My dissertation research focuses on the opioid crisis and the experiences of EMS-providers and their interactions with people who use opioids. As experts at the North Shore Fire Dept, the participation of you and your employees in this project is extremely important to understand these interactions and the difficulties faced by Fire and EMS workers during the opioid crisis.

Participation would result in minimal time costs for you and your staff members. Specifically, the research consists of a 10-to-15-minute survey administered online through the following link:
I am inviting you to please take the survey and forward it to your employees. All participants and your organization are guaranteed complete anonymity.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is rlofaro2017@fau.edu, and my cell phone number is (518)729-7849.
