Weekly Update
  • An explosion in a home in the 5600 N Block of Sievers Place in Glendale caused severe damage to the home and injured it's sole occupant on Sunday July 10. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation. North Shore Fire and Milwaukee Fire crews worked on scene for approximately three hours.







  • The Board of DIrectors met on Tuesday July 12. The Meeting Packet can be reviewed here. The Board heard a report from Chief Whitaker on 2nd Quarter Performance and Strategic Goal Achievements and on the status of the Fire Station 82 Project in Glendale. The project is projected to be put out to bid in August with construction to start in Spring 2023 if the project is approved.

  • The Fire Commission approved a Firefighter Eligibility List on July 14. Four individuals and two Firefighter Interns were conditionally offered Firefighter/EMT positions with a start date in late September. The Department will now conduct background checks on those individuals. The Commission also approved a Battalion Chief Promotional Opportunity. Applications from internal applicants for the position are due August 15.
