• The Department continues to present fire safety public education presentations at area schools this week as part of October Fire Prevention efforts.

  • The Fire Department Board of Directors met this past Tuesday. The meeting packet can be viewed here. At the meeting, the Board:
  • Reviewed the 3rd Quarter Financial Report
  • Reviewed the 3rd Quarter Performance Measurement Report
  • Approved a change to the Personnel Handbook for non-represented employees in regards to retiree health insurance health reimbursement accounts.
  • Approved an agreement with North Shore Bank to administer retiree health reimbursement accounts for non-represented employees.
  • Provided direction to staff to release a RFP for architectural services for reconstruction of Fire Station 82 in Glendale. Responses to the RFP will be provided to the Board in November.
  • Denied a claim against the Department from a Village of Shorewood property owner in regards to use of foam as part of fire suppression efforts.
  • Approved a collective bargaining agreement for 2022-2023 with North Shore Professional Firefighters Association Local 1440.
  • The Department's Safety Committee met Thursday October 14.
  • North Shore Health Department provided a flu shot and COVID-19 Booster Shot Clinic for the Department Friday October 8.
