Weboree was a success!
We had an awesome turnout of 354 youth at the Clark County Fairgrounds.  We would like to thank the Scout Units that taught the classes, they were great.  Troop 430 was the largest youth group to help and Crew 102 was a great help with the Rockwall and Zipline.  We can not do it without YOU.  Thanks!

Camporee was a success!
We had another great district fall Camporee at Floyd Lamb Park. Over 50 Scouts worked on Trail to First Class requirements, got another night of camping in, enjoyed a campfire program, and played great team building and troop competition games. Put it on your troop's calendar to attend next year - October 12-13, 2018!

Thanks to all the Volunteer's that helped at Punkin Chunkin!
Weather was awesome! Biggest Punkin Chunkin event ever with 856 people on the mountain. Lots of smiles! Pictures below.

Silver Beaver Turn in has Changed to November 30th

Nominate that awesome Scout Leader
for the Silver Beaver Award Today.
The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Upon nomination by their local Scout council and with the approval of the National Court of Honor, recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.

It is no longer a requirement for a District member to review a Silver Beaver Nomination Application prior to submitting to Council.  However, in the years past the review helped improve the applications for submittal.  Ray Jacobson who has done the reviews over the years is offering to review again this year.  You will need to submit applications to him by Oct 25th in order for him to pass on to Council by Nov 30th.
Fill out a Silver Beaver nomination form HERE.
